Bright & Tidy Ltd deep cleans homes all over Liverpool — from apartments in the city centre and Toxteth to houses in Aigburth, Allerton, Woolton, Wavertree, West Derby, Garston, Huyton and Kirkby.
A deep clean goes well beyond a weekly tidy. We pull out appliances and clean behind and beneath them, do the oven and fridge inside, work along every skirting board, door frame and bit of coving, and scrub tiles and grout until they look like they did when they went in. It is the full method from our deep cleaning service, applied to your home.
Liverpool homes differ hugely, and so does the work. A one-bed apartment off the Strand, a tall Victorian terrace in Toxteth and a four-bed semi in Childwall need very different amounts of time, so each one gets its own price rather than a flat rate.
Your quote is free, written down and fixed — it won't go up on the day. Every cleaner is vetted and insured, and we use pet-friendly products in every home. Call or WhatsApp 07404 936138.
Deep cleaning in every part of Liverpool
What a deep clean focuses on depends a lot on the kind of home. If your area isn't here, give us a call — we cover surrounding areas too.
City Centre & Toxteth
Open-plan apartments where the kitchen shares the living space, so grease reaches hoods, cupboard fronts and nearby walls. Glass shower screens need a proper descale.
- Liverpool City Centre
- Toxteth
South Liverpool
Victorian and Edwardian houses with high ceilings, coving, fireplaces and sash windows — exactly the detail a regular clean passes over.
- Aigburth
- Allerton
- Childwall
- Wavertree
- Woolton
East & North Liverpool
Busy family homes where kitchens, bathrooms and hallways take the hardest wear. A seasonal deep clean puts them back to square one.

- Croxteth
- Knotty Ash

Garston & Speke
Terraces and newer homes in the south of the city — often booked for a fresh start just before or after moving in.

Why Liverpool customers book a deep clean
Most deep cleans we do in the city fall into one of five situations:
- Moving into a new place. Whether you've bought or you're renting, starting in a home that's clean from top to bottom makes unpacking far nicer. Renting? Make sure the check-in inventory and photos record the condition first — then have it cleaned.
- A shared student house in September. Houses around Wavertree and Smithdown Road are often handed over between groups in a hurry. A deep clean of the kitchen and bathrooms before you unpack, split between housemates, makes the year start better.
- A seasonal reset for a family home. Once or twice a year, the build-up behind the cooker, along the skirting and in the grout needs more than a weekly clean can give it.
- Getting a property ready to sell or re-let. Buyers and new tenants notice a clean oven and bright grout. For a rental that's just been vacated, our end of tenancy cleaning in Liverpool follows the inventory instead.
- Before starting a regular clean. One deep clean brings everything to a good standard, then a fortnightly domestic clean keeps it there.
Older Liverpool houses
A large share of homes in Toxteth, Aigburth, Allerton and around Sefton Park date from the Victorian and Edwardian eras. They're lovely to live in but slow to clean properly: deep skirting boards and architraves, decorative coving and ceiling roses, picture rails, panelled doors, sash windows with deep sills and original fireplaces all trap dust. We work through them room by room, high to low, so nothing gets knocked back down onto surfaces we've already done.
Grease, soap scum and grout
In a lived-in Liverpool home, what builds up fastest is kitchen grease and soap scum — on extractor hoods, tiles, shower screens and the grout between them. Those are the areas a deep clean spends the most time on, and where the difference is most obvious when we've finished.
What a Liverpool deep clean takes care of
A summary of the main jobs. The complete room-by-room list is on our main deep cleaning page.
Kitchens & bathrooms
- Oven interior, racks and glass, then hob and extractor hood degreased
- Fridge and microwave cleaned out
- Appliances moved where safe, with the floor and walls behind them cleaned
- Tiles and grout scrubbed in kitchens, bathrooms and showers
- Soap scum and scale removed from screens, taps and shower heads
Every other room
- High-level dusting first: coving, ceiling roses, picture rails and light fittings
- Skirting boards, architraves and panelled doors wiped by hand
- Window frames, sills and inside glass
- Radiators, switches and sockets cleaned
- Floors last: carpets vacuumed to the edges, hard floors mopped

Deep cleaning in Liverpool — common questions
Can't see your question? Call or WhatsApp 07404 936138.
Which parts of Liverpool do you cover for deep cleaning?
All of it. We deep clean in the city centre and Toxteth; in Aigburth, Allerton, Childwall, Wavertree and Woolton across south Liverpool; in West Derby, Croxteth and Knotty Ash to the east; in Garston and Speke; and in Huyton and Kirkby just over the Knowsley boundary. If you're somewhere nearby that isn't listed, ring 07404 936138 — we'll tell you straight away whether we can get to you.
How much does a deep clean cost in Liverpool?
It's priced for your home specifically. A one-bed city centre apartment takes far less time than a four-bed Victorian semi in Allerton with high ceilings and original features, so a single flat rate wouldn't be fair either way. The things that matter most are the number of rooms, how long it's been since the last thorough clean, and how much work the oven, kitchen and bathrooms need. We put the price in writing before booking, and it stays fixed. WhatsApp the details to 07404 936138 for a same-day quote in most cases.
Can you deep clean a student house before we move in?
Yes. Lots of shared houses in Liverpool change hands quickly over the summer, and a deep clean before you unpack — kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and shared rooms — is a good way to start the year. Housemates usually split the cost. One important tip: make sure your check-in inventory and photos are done first, so the record shows the condition you were given rather than the condition after our clean.
Do you deep clean city centre apartments?
Regularly. Apartments tend to have open-plan kitchens, so grease travels further than you'd expect, and glass shower enclosures and extractor fans need careful attention. When you book, let us know about the concierge, key collection or entry system and where we can park, and we'll arrive ready to start.
Should I book a deep clean or an end of tenancy clean?
It depends whether you're staying or leaving. A deep clean is for a home you live in or are about to move into. An end of tenancy clean is for an empty rented property you're handing back, and it's done against the check-out inventory to protect your deposit. If you're moving out of a rental in the city, see our end of tenancy cleaning in Liverpool page instead.
Can I move onto regular cleaning after the deep clean?
Yes — it's the most common next step. Once a home has had a deep clean, a weekly or fortnightly domestic clean keeps it at that level, and because there's less to do each time, a regular visit usually works out cheaper than repeating one-off cleans. The same team comes back each visit and gets to know your home.
